Ok, this was the best soup we have had yet from the Crockpot Recipe’s book. It is a corn chowder and was very tasty. It also put off an aroma while it was cooking that had me dreaming of dinner all afternoon and I was even in my basement. I modified it a bit, substituted ham for bacon, added a couple of stalks of celery and also added a package of frozen corn. I think I am going to try making it with chicken next time.
Results - Everyone of my family (four girls, a boy, my wife and me) rated it as the best soup we have had from this cookbook. We have had the potato, which we liked very much and also the Ham and Brocoli soup, which I liked, but some of the kids thought it looked a bit weird as the cheese did something funny and didn’t really melt like you would expect.

We had a pot luck right after church yesterday, so I knew we didn’t need a heavy meal for dinner. Fortunately I planned ahead and made Potato Soup, using a recipe that I got when I purchased the Copy Cat Cookbook. It was included in a Crock Pot Recipes book that I got as a bonus when I purchased.
This soup was really a hit and very easy to put together. I had it cooking on low all day and then threw in a couple of last minute ingredients at the end.
Soup and some crackers really hit the spot and was all we needed after the church pot luck.
